What I have learn and do during training?

3 month training this programmed have give a lot of benefit of every aspect. During this training I have so many things and experience that I have gain. So let's talk about the trainers first. as we all know, the teachers of course will give you a lot of advice, know and inspire you a lot. Same as the trainers here, they care about you in all aspect. Let's your hand up if you have any question or curious on something. They will surely help.  There are three of them Mr. Leong, Mr. Goh and Miss Sin Hui. Each of them will deliver different topic and different part. 

What's have I learn during this training is more likely to learn new things that which is different from my majoring of course. But their help and their explanation during class have give me more view about the topic and subjects. We learn on how to install virtual machine. I don't know and have no idea about how to install it, this training teach me on how to start from scratch about it. Next, we have to use Linux to give command in some task given. Hahaha. Linux is not easy and I hate it so much. Please understand but after a few week with Linux and now I believe it is not a hard as you think. It just the same as other language but you need to know which command to use.

We also learn on how to use OBIEE. I have explain about how OBIEE work in previous blog. Please go thru it. Here, I will explain roughly what I do during the training. User need to enter the value and it will display on the board. Then user can view 5 year of detail and they can export the data. However if they wish to see more data they can click more on the below button provided. That only my task on OBIEE. Later then I have to work with sql task. Scary isn’t? Imagine me on that time. SQL? Why why why? Huhuhuhu.

I really hate SQL with full of my heart because I cannot understand it. What it actually what and need. Please go away I hate you. SQL still come and i need to settle it no matter what happen. I try to solve the problem, when Miss Sin Hui asked when can i finish the task. My body start sweating and then I have been given a few week to finish. Each day I try to solve problem by problem. I start google about SQL. I learn about SQL thru internet and asked office mate. They are so helpful. Thank you Allah for meet me with them. I’m so bad in SQL and I really bad on it. After settle down all the problem and Alhamdulillah I can say that SQL have take a pieces of my hearts and I already understand SQL and deeper about it but i still have a lot more to learn about SQL.

Then a few week before exam, we have some gap before continue with the task. During study week i can say. Hahaha. Not study week anymore but it look like it. We have meeting to discuss on the topic and start o digging the previous note that have been teach during class by the trainers. And all of us try to understand and discuss to clarify more on certain chapter. But still so many thing to learn. During this i realise so many thing that the trainers teach and only now i know what they mean. Hahahaha. Yeah student and still student, at one point you need to understand it only take a few minute to understand.

This training have teach me that you have to depend on yourself to solve the problem within certain time, you need to have great communication with the office mate and understand the task given so you know what should you do and where to start. Some task might be a bit confius that is the time you need to communicate with the trainers to clarify your task, if not you will never can finish your task.

I’m still the luckiest girl that can improve myself thru this programmed and grateful for this chance. Quote for today “not everything you think hard is the hardest thing, learn i first don’t jump into conclusion yet". Thank you so much.

What have you learn about OBIEE?

Now, how about if I told you guys about OBIEE. Ok, and for sure all of us will start to think what is OBIEE? Why do we need OBIEE? Actually it is where our brain start to explore what it is? During my class in UTM. I never heard about OBIEE and anything related to it. But I know what is database, it is one of my syllabus in class. Why not I share my knowledge about OBIEE with you guys. So excited to tell about OBIEE so much. Hahahaha. Excuse me on that okay? Please. Hahahahah

Now you understand what OBIEE is it. Next we move to the second part what is OBIEE. Some of the part related in database can be used or perform using sql developer. But i gonna be much easier if you can see what you do in graphical view. So, this what OBIEE do and what OBIEE helps us. It much easier compared to sql developer. However, there are some limitation on using OBIEE. But all software have their own limitation but in different thing. So don't worry on that okay?

p/s: Later I will attach the graphical picture of this software okay? During this training we have been using Oracle 11g.

OBIEE can be similar as database with combination with graphics. If in database required sql in order to perform the instruction but using OBIEE it reduce the usage of sql which the user only need to drag the column needed and it directly will perform the instruction.

Let talk about OBIEE in details and my journey with OBIEE okay?. I guess it hard to imagine by reading but at least i give a bit view on OBIEE okay? Now, let’s continue. OBIEE include interactive dashboards all to interact with user and a bit colorful that can enhance spirit to do. I think so. Hahaha. Its provide fully interactive dashboards and reports with a rich variety of visualization. Great isn't it. Data + visual and result will be so ‘gempak’!.

Secondly, Enterprise reporting which allows the creation of highly formatted templates, report, and documents such as flash report, and check. Some of the report not some i think. Most of the report must be in highly formatted and need to be same margin, align and etc. OBIEE is suitable as it already provided all of that and you just need to understand all the usage, what should you do, how it work and what it can do for you.

Third, self serve interactive reporting that enable business users to create new analyses from scratch or modify existing analyses without any help from IT. as a said before, OBIEE is something that easier to understand as once you have the view on that. You already can start to move alone or independently. Why? The reason is OBIEE provide as third option which you can read by yourself. It not only allow you to modify current report but it you also can create the report from scratch. Wow, so cool right. A decade before it not as easier as now. New era have bring a new modernization for all user. So why bother for something hard if you can do it within 1 minute. Hahahaha just kidding not 1 minute la. But at least much easier to use and understand as well. Come with package okay guys.

Lastly, microsoft office integration that enable users to embed up-to-the-minute corporate data in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel documents. This is can be categorize as a good thing i guess as it can fully integrate with microsoft. OBIEE can be import form  word and excel and export to pdf, excel, and data. There are a few step to import from OBIEE but with same guide to perform it. it just a few simple step and within 1 minute you can do all those thing already. Easy isn't it guy? Explore more so more we can learn and know OBIEE better. To be in loved you need to fall in love with it. that is the real love.

Actually, more functionally and what i have learn about OBIEE but i have combine both of it in each paragraph. Learning is something interesting and most best thing in life is learning something new. However, anything you learn you need to explore by yourself as the trainer or anyone will only give you a lead which way to go or which way is better, you the only one that need to decide which is better and why. Different path of making it succeed is not important as the important this is the way you understand how to do it and make others understand that decide how far you understand it.
